{"id":68653,"date":"2018-06-12T15:21:30","date_gmt":"2018-06-12T10:21:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=68653"},"modified":"2018-06-12T15:21:30","modified_gmt":"2018-06-12T10:21:30","slug":"india-conducts-x-rayed-of-a-pakistani-spy-pigeon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=68653","title":{"rendered":"India conducts x-rayed of a Pakistani \u201cspy pigeon\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>New Delhi, June 12 (TNS): India police said conducted x-rayed of a pigeon it suspects was spying for\u00a0Pakistan to rule out the possibility of any coded messages, Indian media reported on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to\u00a0<em>Times<\/em><em>\u00a0of India<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/city\/chandigarh\/pigeon-from-pak-to-be-x-rayed\/articleshow\/64534130.cms\"><em>,<\/em><\/a><em>\u00a0<\/em>police in Ajnala town of Amritsar\u00a0district have the bird examined to ascertain\u00a0it does not have a tiny spying object embedded to its body.<\/p>\n<p>The pigeon, the report\u00a0said, was found near the check-post of Border Security Force (BSF) close to the border with Pakistan. It was later handed over to police for a probe.<\/p>\n<p>The report went on to add that the conveying of coded messages through the bird is not a rare occurrence on the Punjab side of the border.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time India has suspected pigeons of being used from the other side of the border for spying purposes.<\/p>\n<p>In February 2017, the country claimed to have caught a \u201cspy pigeon\u201d it said came from\u00a0Pakistan. The authorities later claimed\u00a0it escaped to Pakistan due to police negligence.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, in May 2016, Indian authorities claimed that a pigeon they caught in Pathankot carried a message stamped in Urdu.
