{"id":70623,"date":"2018-07-06T14:32:03","date_gmt":"2018-07-06T09:32:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=70623"},"modified":"2018-07-06T14:32:03","modified_gmt":"2018-07-06T09:32:03","slug":"sc-rejects-isis-plea-seeking-3-months-for-hqs-security","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=70623","title":{"rendered":"SC rejects ISI\u2019s plea seeking 3 months for HQs security"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>ISLAMABAD, July 6 (TNS):\u00a0The Supreme Court on Friday rejected Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI)\u2019s plea seeking three months to present alternate security plans for the agency\u2019s headquarters near Aabpara, observing that the intelligence agency could not be given liberty to act on their own.<\/p>\n<p>The remarks came when the three-judge bench, headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar and comprising Justice Umar Ata Bandiyal and Justice Ijazul Ahsan, resumed the hearing of a petition filed by the Ministry of Defence against an Islamabad High Court decision directing authorities to remove barricades in front of the intelligence agency\u2019s HQ.<\/p>\n<p>During the hearing, Justice Nisar remarked that the intelligence agency was equipped with resources to remove the barricades within a month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cannot give more than four weeks to clear the street. Make a bomb proof wall or shift the headquarters elsewhere,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n<p>The top judge stated that the apex court cannot maintain different standards for ISI and the general public.
