Lahore July 8 (TNS): Caretaker Information Minister Syed Ali Zafar has stressed to conserve and utilize irrigation water wisely to tackle the water crisis.<\/p>\n
Addressing a “Meet The Press” program at Lahore Press Club in Lahore on Sunday, he said that most of our water is wasted into sea every year.<\/p>\n
Information Minister said the caretaker government will prepare a working paper with proposals for tackling the water issue and this plan will be presented to the incoming government.<\/p>\n
He urged to allocate more funds in the budget for building dams.<\/p>\n
Replying to a question, Syed Ali Zafar said that law is equal for all and implementing courts verdicts is responsibility of the Caretaker Government.<\/p>\n
He said all legal requirements will be fulfilled regarding the arrest of former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz on their return.<\/p>\n
To another question, he said general elections will be held in time on 25th of this month, despite the recent verdict against Nawaz Sharif.<\/p>\n
To a question, he said the Caretaker Government will continue to share the Code of Conduct of Election Commission of Pakistan for elections with media.<\/p>\n
He said that foreign media should also see the transparent holding of upcoming general elections.<\/p>\n
