{"id":71418,"date":"2018-07-13T14:12:54","date_gmt":"2018-07-13T09:12:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=71418"},"modified":"2018-07-13T14:13:02","modified_gmt":"2018-07-13T09:13:02","slug":"lhc-directs-release-of-illegally-detained-pml-n-workers-by-2pm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=71418","title":{"rendered":"LHC directs release of illegally detained PML-N workers by 2pm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lahore, July 13 (TNS):\u00a0 Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday ordered the release of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers, illegally detained by punjab\u00a0police, by 2pm on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, around 400 workers have so far been detained and arrested from Lahore and Rawalpindi.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Shehbaz\u00a0termed the arrests as &#8220;pre-poll&#8221; rigging and slammed the interim Punjab government for the arrests of workers from Lahore ahead of party supremo Nawaz Sharif&#8217;s return.<\/p>\n<p>Hearing a PML-N petition against the arrests today, Justice Anwarul Haq inquired from the provincial home secretary and police chief if they had a list of the detained individuals.<\/p>\n<p>The home secretary responded by saying that 141 individuals had been arrested.
