{"id":72722,"date":"2018-07-20T18:13:46","date_gmt":"2018-07-20T13:13:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=72722"},"modified":"2018-07-20T18:13:46","modified_gmt":"2018-07-20T13:13:46","slug":"experts-lauds-un-call-for-international-probe-into-rights-violations-in-iok","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=72722","title":{"rendered":"Experts lauds UN call for international probe into rights violations in IOK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Islamabad, July 20 (TNS): Speakers at an interactive session on Kashmir have admired United Nations&#8217; call for international investigation in the Occupied Kashmir.<\/p>\n<p>The event titled &#8220;A Plebiscite and An International Investigation on Kashmir: A Test for India&#8217;s Role as a Responsible UN Member State&#8221; was held by YFK-International Kashmir Lobby Group in Islamabad.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the seminar, Foreign Office spokesperson Dr. Mohammad Faisal said UN report is a success of Pakistan and now world has woken up.<\/p>\n<p>He emphasized it is a high time for international community to fulfill its promise and urge India to end its occupation.<\/p>\n<p>Former Permanent Representative of Pakistan to United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Zamir Akram called upon India to fully respect the right of self-determination of Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n<p>Head of the Kashmir Delegation to United Nations Human Rights Council Geneva Altaf Hussein Wani emphasized that more than 13 types of human rights violations are mentioned in the report.<\/p>\n<p>Syed Faiz Naqshbandi-Convener All Parties Hurriyet Conference said there is need to highlight what is the difference between India and Pakistan which is even mentioned in the report.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Islamabad, July 20 (TNS): Speakers at an interactive session on Kashmir have admired United Nations&#8217; call for international investigation in the Occupied Kashmir.
