{"id":72797,"date":"2018-07-21T11:40:27","date_gmt":"2018-07-21T06:40:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=72797"},"modified":"2018-07-21T11:40:27","modified_gmt":"2018-07-21T06:40:27","slug":"special-court-to-announce-ephedrine-case-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=72797","title":{"rendered":"Special Court to announce  Ephedrine Case today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad, July 21, (TNS): A special court conducting the narcotics smuggling trial against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi and others is set to conclude the case today (Saturday).<\/p>\n<p>A day earlier, Judge Mohammad Akram Khan rejected Abbasi\u2019s plea to delay the trial\u2019s deadline, noting that it has to follow orders of the Lahore High Court (LHC). The judge also remarked that he will continue hearing arguments into the night if it takes that long.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, the Supreme Court had dismissed Abbasi\u2019s petition against the LHC order directing to conclude the ephedrine case against him by July 21.
