Islamabad, July 25 (TNS): As the polling process for the national assembly and four provincial assemblies has ended, the counting of votes is now underway.<\/p>\n
The ballots are being manually counted by presiding officers and assistant presiding officers present in the polling booths.<\/p>\n
However, the polling stations where the voters are queued up both inside and outside the polling stations are being allowed to cast their vote.<\/p>\n
Forms 45 and 46 will be filled for every national assembly and provincial assembly seat by the Presiding Officer. These forms contain data of every candidate with their names as well as how many votes they received. The results data can also be shared with the polling agents and candidates present at the stations.<\/p>\n
The Presiding Officer will take a screenshot of both forms and upload them onto the Results Transmission System, an Android application which enables election officers to send the results to the ECP in real time.<\/p>\n
