{"id":74903,"date":"2018-08-07T20:09:25","date_gmt":"2018-08-07T15:09:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=74903"},"modified":"2018-08-07T20:09:25","modified_gmt":"2018-08-07T15:09:25","slug":"ihc-orders-transferring-references-against-sharif-family-to-another-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=74903","title":{"rendered":"IHC orders transferring references against Sharif family to another court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>ISLAMABAD, Aug. 7 (TNS): In a major development, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday ordered transferring Al-Azizia and Flagship Investment references against former premier Nawaz Sharif and his family to another court.<\/p>\n<p>A two-member bench of the IHC, comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb, ordered transfer of the cases on Nawaz Sharif&#8217;s plea.<\/p>\n<p>Nawaz\u2019s legal counsel had filed an appeal requesting the court to transfer the Al-Azizia and Flagship Investment references from the court of Accountability Judge-I Mohammad Bashir to another accountability court.<\/p>\n<p>The Sharif family had also petitioned against their convictions in the Avenfield reference. IHC had clubbed the two references, which were being heard by the two-member bench.<\/p>\n<p>Without hearing the plea against conviction of Captain (retired) Safdar Awan in the Avenfield reference, the court adjourned it till Wednesday (tomorrow).
