Lahore, August 8 (TNS):\u00a0Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Usman Dar\u2019s plea regarding vote recount in NA-73 was rejected by Lahore High Court on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The court\u00a0 in its verdict upheld Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif\u2019s victory in the constituency.<\/p>\n
LHC had barred the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) from issuing the victory notification of former foreign minister Khawaja Asif in NA-73 Sialkot constituency.<\/p>\n
In his petition, Usman Dar had challenged the victory of Asif pleading that the returning officer did not provide Form-45 to the polling agents.<\/p>\n
The PTI leader said that around 7,346 votes were rejected in his constituency and he lost by a margin of 1,406 votes to PML-N leader Khwaja Asif.<\/p>\n
In July 25 polls , Khawaja Asif secured 116957 votes against PTI\u2019s Usman Dar who obtained 115464 votes in the constituency.<\/p>\n
