{"id":75114,"date":"2018-08-10T15:09:37","date_gmt":"2018-08-10T10:09:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=75114"},"modified":"2018-08-10T15:09:37","modified_gmt":"2018-08-10T10:09:37","slug":"ecp-orderers-re-polling-in-pk-23-shangla-i","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tns.world\/?p=75114","title":{"rendered":"ECP orderers re-polling in PK-23, Shangla-I"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>ISLAMABAD, Aug. 10 (TNS): Due to low turnout of female voters, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday ordered re-polling in PK-23, Shangla-I constituency.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The polls and their results in PK-23 have been declared void over low turnout of female voters,&#8221; the ECP said.<\/p>\n<p>Women votes were less than 10 per cent of the total polled votes in the constituency, it added.<\/p>\n<p>Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Shaukat Yousafzai had emerged as the victor from PK-23 during the July 25 polls.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the ECP had withheld\u00a0Yousafzai&#8217;s victory notification.<\/p>\n<p>According to records, 86,698 women were registered to vote in the constituency.
