Abrar Shaikh, the director for operations of food authority, had subsequently sealed the restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>The food authority today raided the restaurant&#8217;s godown as well where it found long-expired food products.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Hundreds of\u00a0<em>sherbet<\/em>\u00a0(squash) bottles that were a year past their expiry dates and around 80kg of rotten meat were found,&#8221; Shaikh said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Three-year-old meat was being served to the customers,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Shaikh, in his earlier report submitted to the Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, had stated that the said restaurant was recently given a notice to improve its hygiene conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Following the aforesaid brothers&#8217; death, police on Monday had launched an investigation into the alleged food poisoning.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmad, one and half years old, and Mohammad, 5, died from \u2018food poisoning\u2019 , \u201cbelieved\u201d the officials.
