Kabul, Dec. 24 (TNS): Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi says peace and stability in Afghanistan will benefit Pakistan as well as the whole region.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was talking to Afghan President Ashraf Ghani during a one-on-one meeting in Kabul on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both sides discussed ways to improve bilateral relations and resolve important issues of regional and mutual interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shah Mehmood Qureshi expressed good wishes for holding of Afghan parliamentary elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Afghan President thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi for playing a crucial role in Afghan peace process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, Shah Mehmood Qureshi held a meeting with his Afghan counterpart Salahuddin Rabbani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The talks, which were also attended by their respective delegations, focused on overall regional situation and bilateral ties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both Foreign Ministers agreed to promote two way political, trade and cultural relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Minister Qureshi underscored to increase contacts for durable peace and stability in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Afghan Foreign Minister appreciated the efforts of Pakistan for bringing peace in his country.
