Islamabad, Jan. 07 (TNS): Pakistan and United Arab Emirates have expressed the resolve to further strengthen their historic and mutually beneficial bilateral relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resolve was expressed during a meeting between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Islamabad on Sunday.

Both sides also discussed various regional and global issues and\nexpressed a complete identity of views on these issues, which serves as the\nbasis of long-lasting and trusted friendship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both\nthe leaders agreed to take all necessary measures to deal with matters relating\nto trade enhancement and decided to form a Task Force to achieve the objective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prime\nMinister Imran Khan thanked the UAE for the generous Balance of Payment support\nof three billion dollars and said this financial support shows the UAE’s\ncontinued commitment and friendship with Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also welcomed the UAE’s interest in investing in oil, gas, logistics, ports and construction sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both\nsides expressed satisfaction over the on-going defence and security\ncooperation, and vowed to further boost collaboration in the areas of training,\njoint exercises and defence production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They\nstrongly condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and expressed\nthe resolve to work closely to root out this scourge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crown\nPrince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan recognized the efforts and\nunparalleled sacrifices made by Pakistan to eliminate terrorism and extremism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prime\nMinister Imran Khan briefed the Crown Prince on the situation in Occupied Jammu\nand Kashmir and the plight of Kashmiris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\nalso briefed the UAE leader about his government’s people centric reform\nagenda, and the steps taken to promote transparency and accountability at all\nlevels of government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prime\nMinister Imran Khan briefed about the efforts Pakistan is making to support and\nfacilitate the Afghan-owned and Afghan-led reconciliation process. He also\nappreciated the role UAE is playing by hosting reconciliation talks in Abu\nDhabi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\ntwo leaders agreed to work closely for the lasting peace and stability of\nAfghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nCrown Prince expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm welcome and\nhospitality extended to him and his delegation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later,\nDelegation level talks between Pakistan and United Arab Emirates held at Prime\nMinister house in Islamabad on Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prime\nMinister Imran Khan led the Pakistani delegation while the UAE side was led by\nCrown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nPakistan delegation included Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Finance\nMinister Asad Umer, Information Minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, Minister of\nState for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi and Foreign Secretary Tehmeena Janjua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\ntwo sides discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual, regional and\ninternational interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier,\non his arrival at Nur Khan Airbase, Prime Minister Imran Khan welcomed the\ndistinguished guest. He was given twenty one guns salute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later on, an official welcome ceremony was held at Prime\nMinister House Islamabad in the honor of the Crown Prince.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister for Information and Broascadsting Chaudhary Fawad\nHussain has said that visit of Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed\nAl Nahyan will further strengthen relations between the two contries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\na statement, he said the crown prince considers Pakistan as his second home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Information\nMinister said talks about the establishment of oil refineray has been entered\nin the final statge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al\nNahyan left for home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister\nfor Power Omer Ayub Khan saw off him at Nur Khan airbase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Media Affairs Iftikhar\nDurrani has thanked Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Muhamed bin Zayed Al\nNahyan for visiting Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In\na tweet , he said the world knows that we have an honest leader now and that is\nwhy the UAE leader came to Pkistan after decades to have a business with the\ncountry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
