RAWALPINDI, Feb. 22 (TNS):\u00a0The Pakistan Army on Friday said that the country does not wish for war, but is prepared in the eventuality India takes any aggressive military measures in the aftermath of the suicide attack in Pulwama district of occupied Kashmir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing a press conference, Director General\nInter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor also said\nthat India was quick to pin responsibility of the Pulwama attack on Pakistan\nwithout due investigation and New Delhi has yet not accepted the reality of\nPartition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRight after the attack, India started accusing without\nthinking and without any evidence. Pakistan has, this time, taken out some time\nto respond.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIndia always conspired against Pakistan through terrorism.\nIt also waged war on Pakistan in 1965,\u201d said the DG ISPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPakistan has attained peace today after several sacrifices\nand hardships and today, we are moving towards a better future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOnce you cross the LoC, there are multiple layers of Indian\ndefences. The attack in Kashmir happened miles away from the border. How\nis it possible that someone could cross it without their knowledge,\u201d said\nthe military spokesperson while elaborating on the recent attack in Pulwama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIndia should question its own security forces which have\nbeen sitting there for the past 70 years. It is a failure of their\nintelligence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAfter Pulwama attack, Pakistan studied and evaluated the\nsituation and then responded. The proposals given to the Indian government have\nnever been offered in the past to any Indian government. This is new Pakistan,\u201d\nsaid DG ISPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Referring to the warmongering and jingoism in India\nfollowing the attack, Maj Gen Ghafoor said that India is blaming Pakistan\nfor trying to initiate war but \u201cthat is India\u2019s doing, not ours\u201d. \u201cWe are only\ntrying to protect our country which is our right.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe do not wish to go into war and please be reassured if\nyou initiate aggression, the army shall not be surprised by you. We shall\nsurprise you,\u201d warned the DG ISPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI hope you get this message and don\u2019t mess with Pakistan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOur prime minister has given his response to India but the\nmilitary\u2019s response will be different,\u201d maintained the DG ISPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
DG ISPR, \u201cCountries do not and cannot develop individually.\nIf the region wants to develop we cannot go into war.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lauding the media coverage of Pulwama attack in Pakistan,\nISPR spokesperson said journalists in the country have covered the incident\nvery responsibly unlike the Indian media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe whole of Indian media is occupied in war journalism\nwhile Pakistani media is trying its best in doing peace journalism. I applaud\nPakistani media for it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe hope India will accept our offer of peace through\ndialogue. Pakistan army shall defend any inch of our beloved land until our\nlast breath.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DG ISPR said the former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI)\nchief Lt-Gen (retd) Asad Durrani\u2019s who has co-authored a book, \u2018The Spy\nChronicles, with Amarjit Sindh Dulat, former chief of Indian spy agency\nResearch and Analysis Wing (RAW), has been found guilty of violating the\nmilitary code of conduct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAn inquiry against him is underway. Durrani has been found\nguilty of violating the military code of conduct. He is no more entitled to\npension and facilities and his name has been placed on the Exit Control List\n(ECL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With regards to the reports that two military officers\nare also under military custody, DG ISPR said, \u201cTwo senior military\nofficials are under arrest for espionage.
