Islamabad: March 24, (TNS): Capital Development Authority\n(CDA) is all set to start road rehabilitation work in sector D-12. In this\nconnection, formal approval has been accorded while funds for commencement of\nrehabilitation work have also been allocated. \nThe rehabilitation work will start from Monday or Tuesday depending upon\nweather conditions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sector D-12 is among the sectors where large numbers of\nallottees are carrying out construction on their plots. Due to construction\nactivities and ignorance in the past the rods of this sector were in\ndilapidated state. Furthermore, during the clean green Pakistan campaign\nFinance Minister visited the area and observed that pending works must be\nexpedited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Consequently the matter has been taken up and it is decided\nto launch rehabilitation work on immediate basis. While carrying out\nrehabilitation work roads and streets of the sector would be re-carpeted, lane\nmarking would be carried out in addition to the fixation of curb stones and cat\neyes. Moreover, Sector Development Directorate has also been directed to\ncomplete leftover development work. Furthermore, the concerned formations of\nthe authority have also been directed to provide missing facilities so that\nresidents of the sector could be further facilitated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the meanwhile, authority has also decided to commence\nwork on construction of various pedestrian crossings in the city. In this\nconnection, areas are being identified where general public is facing\ndifficulties in crossing the roads. In this context, authority has decided to\nconstruct a pedestrian crossing at Kashmir Highway near Bokra Village for which\nquotations have been sought from Heavy Mechanical Complex (HMC) Taxila and work\non the pedestrian bridge will commence in a short period.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
