India says its soldier killed by Pakistan’s firing on border

New Delhi, Jan. 3 (TNS): India on Wednesday said that its Border Security Force jawan was killed when Pakistan retaliate fire along the International Border (IB) in Jammu’s Samba sector.

Three Pakistani soldiers were martyred on December 25 last year in unprovoked firing by Indian forces on LoC.

Head constable R P Hazra, who turned 51 on Wednesday, was fatally injured when Pakistani forces “sniped” him from across the border around 4pm.

He had celebrated his birthday with fellow jawans just before he was shot.
