Islamabad saved from disaster: suicide jackets, grenade, explosives recovered

Islamabad April 14 (TNS): The Islamabad police have saved the capital city from a major disaster after it recovered suicide jackets, explosives, hand grenades and other arms from a nullah in Sector G-14, Golra on Saturday morning.

Police said that a passer-by alerted the police about a suspicious bag lying near the watercourse in Golra. The police and the bomb disposal squad recovered two suicide jackets, five hand grenades, explosives, two pistols and 106 rounds from the bag. The police said that no arrests had been made in connection with the recovery of the arms-filled bag. Further investigation is underway, the police said.
