Attock, August 29 (TNS):A man born with valor and steely determination, a sign of courage and audacity, Maqbool Hussain will be laid to rest today with full honour which he has earned in 40 years in Indian prison without uttering a single word against Pakistan.
Sepoy Maqbool Hussain successfully completed the mission in Sri Nagar in 1965 war between Pakistan and India and got injured and subsequently he became a war prisoner.
From 1965 to 2005 he remained in jail, the Indian soldiers tried every single ounce of inhumane means and atrocities against him they plucked his nails and cut his tongue to get out of him the deepest national secrets of Pakistan but he did not budge.
For 40 years he didn’t even expose a single secret related to National security, as a result due to his determination and perseverance entire Indian army got wearied and when they could not get anything out of his chest, the only option was to free him and in 2005, he finally got freedom.
On August 28, 2018, yesterday, he died in Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Attock. Keeping in view his sacrifices for the country, he was awarded with Sitara-e-Jurat. Chief of Army Staff has expressed resentment over his demise.
Sepoy Maqbool Hussain is a name which will always be remembered whenever this nation will remember its Heroes who sacrificed their today for our tommorrow, his heroics indeed make him the “Man of Steel”.
