Mandviwalla points out corruption in tenders of Lahore Airport

LAHORE, June 16 (TNS): Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Senator Saleem Mandviwalla on Friday pointed out the reported corruption in the tenders of Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore, where Civil Aviation Authority (CVA) is trying to approve a tender for the project by violating the rules.
Saleem Mandviwalla in his statement has stated that, “Government is doing corruption in the mega projects. Now, Civil Aviation Authority is trying to approve a tender to its favorites by violating all rules and regulations.”
“Meeting of the Civil Aviation Board was called to give approval to the tender even before the opening date of tender-it’s a day light murder of transparency,” said Senator Saleem Mandviwalla.
Senator Saleem Mandviwalla said, “PPP is pointing out corruption in the mega projects; concerned authorities must take notice of this and investigate it.”
“It’s the style of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Government to oblige their favorites by issuing tenders of important projects. PPP will oppose this and take up these scandals in and outside the Parliament,” Senator Madnviwalla concluded.
