ISLAMABAD July 21 2017 (TNS): Pakistan Meteorological Department on Friday predicted moderate monsoon currents penetrating in southern parts of the country.
Weak monsoon currents are penetrating upper parts of the country and likely to strengthen in the next 24 hours. A shallow westerly wave is still persisting over upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist during next few days, the PMD said.
Rain and thunderstorm with isolated heavy falls are expected at scattered places in Kashmir, Punjab (Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, D.G. Khan), Islamabad, FATA, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Mirpurkhas, and Hyderabad divisions in the next 24 hours. Rain and thunderstorm are expected at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan.
