Naval chief calls on top defence officials in Sri Lanka

Colombo, June 12 (TNS): Chief of the Naval Staff – Pakistan Navy, Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah has met top military and defence officials in Sri Lanka.

The naval staff called on Lankan Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Kolitha Gunathilake and discussed security matters in the region.

Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah also met with heads of Lankan ground force, air force and naval force and discussed matters of mutual interests.

Earlier, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zakaullah attended as the chief guest of the Passing Out of Midshipmen belonging to the 30th (Technical and IT) and 31st intakes of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU), 55th Cadet Entry and candidates Service Entry, held at the parade ground of the Naval and Maritime Academy in Trincomalee.

Admiral Zakaulla attended the event at the invitation of the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne.
