New spell of rains lash north country



Islamabad, July 15 (TNS): Monsoon rains lashed various parts of the country on Sunday morning as temperature dropped due to new spell of rains and snowfall on Sunday morning.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, temperature is expected to drop further as monsoon currents penetrate eastern and central parts of the country.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, thunderstorms with gusty winds will engulf parts of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir and the federal capital in coming days.

The Met department record 62mm rain in Chakwal, 31mm in Kamra, 10mm in Peshawar, 5mm in Kohat and 32mm and 14mm  in Islamabad’s Zero Point and Bokra areas.

Meanwhile, the southern provinces of the country will continue to experience hot and humid weather.
