OGDL offers Rs141 million scholarships

Islamabad June 13 (TNS): The Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDCL) Ltd has offered scholarships worth Rs141 million to 170 students of nine universities across the country for the year 2017.

The ODGCL in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and in partnership with universities, selected 170 deserving students from the nine universities including 80 students of the Quai-e-Azam University (QAU) Islamabad.

These deserving students have been chosen from the “operational/concessional areas” of the four provinces under the OGDCL’s corporate social responsibility.

In this regard, a ceremony was held in Islamabad for the 80 selected students of the QAU while OGDCL Managing Director Zahid Mir, QAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Javed Ashraf, HEC officials and others attended the “goodwill ambassadors’ programme”.
