Pakistan Army kills five Indian soldiers

Islamabad June 3 (TNS): Pakistan Army on Saturday killed five Indian soldiers and destroyed several bunkers along the Line of Control (LoC) in Tatta Pani.

“Indian unprovoked CFV at Tatta Pani along LoC, violently responded. Indian bunkers destroyed, 5 Indian soldiers killed, many injured,” ISPR chief Maj-Gen Asif ghafoor said in a tweet on Saturday.

India and Pakistan have been exchanging fire and retaliatory fire, every now and then, along the Loc and the Working Boundary for the last several months. Pakistan Army has consistently accused the Indian Army of unprovoked firing and shelling along the borders to deflect the attention of the international community from the grave human rights violations in Indian held Kashmir, where Indian forces have killed hundreds of innocent civilians since a fresh indigenous uprising has spiralled out of control after the death of freedom fighter Burhan Wani some six months back.

India is pointing the fingers at Pakistan, accusing it of fomenting revolt and violence in the Indian held Kashmir. However, Pakistan has been denying the allegations saying it was only extending moral, political and diplomatic support to Kashmiris in their just struggle for the right to self-determination and independence.
