Pakistan suffer defeat at the hands of Uzbekistan in street child world cup final


Moscow, May 16 (TNS): Pakistan lost 5-4 on penalties on Wednesday in the street child world cup final against Uzbekistan, the boys in green came agonizingly close to glory after the title decider ended 1-1 in Moscow.

Pakistan beat Indonesia in the semifinal on penalties, after a goalless draw, however, they failed to deliver in the final from the penalty spot.

Uzbekistan got their hands on the trophy for the first time in the tournament since its inception in 2010, they overcame Burundi by 1-0 in the semi-final.

Despite the defeat, Pakistani Boys have come out with their heads held high as they delivered their best performance in the history of the competition.
