Panama case has reached logical conclusion, Asfandyar Wali

PESHAWAR July 29 (TNS): Panama papers case has reached its logical conclusion now it’s time to focus on real issues, said Awami National Party Pesident Asfandyar Wail Khan on Saturday while talking to the media.

The Khan accepted Supreme Court`s verdict disqualifying Nawaz Sharif despite having serious reservations regarding it. Khan said that he hopes his reservations are proved wrong in the future.

He said the political leader of the country should not give their authority to the judiciary as the parliament will lose its importance through such actions. “We will always maintain our struggle for the supremacy of parliament and will not let democracy get spoiled,” he added.

He further said that Article 62, 63 of the Constitution should be amended to its original form by canceling clauses which were added during the government of General Zia. Khan said that his party wanted to amend the articles through the 18th Amendment; however, the party which opposed the move at the time was PML-N. “Today he has become a victim of the same article,” said he.
