PM Abbasi urges UN s to appoint a special representative for Kashmir


New York, Sept 22 (TNS): Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has demanded of the United Nations to appoint a special representative for Kashmir.

He made this demand during his meeting with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres in New York.

Raising Kashmir issue, the Prime Minister handed over a dossier on human rights violations in Kashmir by India. He said India has closed the doors of dialogue with Pakistan. He also apprised the UN chief about ceasefire violations by India. He said today four innocent civilians were killed in Indian firing along the Working Boundary.

Antonio Guterres acknowledged Pakistan’s counterterrorism steps.
