PM condemns attack on Navy personnel near Gwadar


Islamabad, June 20 (TNS): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Navy personnel near Jiwani.

At least two Pak-Navy personnel martyred and three others injured in a firing incident in Gwadar on Monday evening, officials said.

Spokesman of Pak-Navy said that the incident took place when some unknown gunmen opened fire at a vehicle of the navy force in Jiwani area of Gwadar, key port city which is starting point of USD 56 billion CPEC project.

The Prime Minister expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives during the attack and prayed for swift recovery of those injured.

These cowardly attacks cannot shatter our resolve against terrorism and extremism; peace in the Province has been ensured after countless sacrifices of our valiant security personnel. We will not allow the enemy to hinder the unprecedented progress and development underway in Balochistan, the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister prayed for eternal peace of the Martryred souls and grant of courage to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.
