Islamabad, July 28 (TNS): After historic decision of the top court, PML-N leaders on Friday say the party wants civilian supremacy in the country.
Speaking to joint news here, Khawaja Saad Rafiq said it was unfortunate that elected prime ministers have never been allowed to complete their legitimate terms in the country.
He said that Nawaz Sharif was disqualified on the basis of not accepting money from his son and not for committing any corruption.
The former Railways minister said Nawaz Sharif was punished for refurbishing the economy of Pakistan, restoring law and order in the country especially in Karachi, bringing the people of Balochistan to main stream, and making the countries a nuclear power.
Barrister Zafarullah, on occasion, said requirements of justice were not practiced in the judgment of the top court which disqualified a prime minister elected by the majority of the masses.
Ahsan Iqbal said Nawaz Sharif was disqualified by the apex court on the basis of unorthodoxy instead of in light of solid proofs.
“Nawaz Sharif will continue to lead PML-N to make the country a real democracy”, Ahsan said adding that party workers should be proud of Nawaz Sharif as no corruption has been proved against him.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, on occasion, said they will challenge the verdict legally and constitutionally adding that people’s court is larger court.
Former minister for Petroleum said the party leaders will put all facts before the masses of the country.
Anusha Rehman said Nawaz Sharif is still popular leader of the masses and he will comeback with public support.
