President Mamnoon will administer Imran Khan’s oath taking as PM on Aug 17

Islamabad, August 10 (TNS): Oath taking of Prime Minister in waiting Imran Khan will be administered by president Mamnoon Hussain on August 17.

Reports suggest that president Mamnoon Hussain has postponed his three day official visit to Ireland, which was supposed to commence from Aug 16.

The decision came after caretaker information minister Ali Zafar met the president and said that his presence is vital in the formation of the new government.

President Mamnoon Hussain has also approved the summary moved by Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (R) Nasirul Mulk to summon the session of the National Assembly on August 13.

Caretaker Prime Minister had formally forwarded a summary to president suggesting to summon the NA session on August 13.

The newly elected members of NA will take oath of their office on August 13. This will be followed by the elections of the speaker, the deputy speaker and then the leader of the house.

After support of independent MNAs and other coalition parties Imran Khan is now nailed on to become the next Prime Minister of Pakistan.
