1.That time he broke protocol to hug one of the distraught victims of London’s Grenfell Tower fire.
The royal was photographed comforting a grieving woman who discovered her husband was missing earlier this month after the deadly fire at the London apartment building earlier this month, which is not typically allowed. Members of the public are only allowed to shake hands with the royals.
- When he adorably chased his 3-year-old cousin around a polo field.
A few weeks earlier, Prince William competed in the Maserati Royal Charity Polo Trophy at Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire, England. While the crowd enjoyed watching the Duke of Cambridge in the match, they seemed to be more entertained by all the fun he was having with his little cousin, Mia Grace Tindall (the daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall), during breaks. Too cute!
- Anytime he pays tribute to his late mother.
It’s been nearly 20 years since Princess Diana died, but her spirit lives on through her eldest son. During a recent interview with British GQ, William admitted he misses his mom dearly.
“I would like to have had her advice. I would love her to have met Catherine [Middleton] and to have seen the children [Prince George and Princess Charlotte] grow up,” he told the outlet. “It makes me sad that she won’t, that they will never know her.”
- That time he thoroughly enjoyed a cold brew.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by knocking back pints of Guinness beer at Cavalry Barracks in London. Just look at his sweet, smiling face… it says it all!
- When he couldn’t keep his cool while walking the red carpet.
Prince William is no stranger to the public eye, but even he likes an excuse to dress a bit more formal. Clad in a classic black tuxedo and bowtie, he had a gigantic grin on his face while posing for photographs on the “step and repeat” with Middleton at the 70th EE British Academy Film Awards(BAFTA) in February.
- That time he looked so in love with his wife in Paris.
The prince of passion! We couldn’t help ourselves from marveling over the sweet pics of the royals in front of the Eiffel Tower. The two simply couldn’t take their eyes off each other during their visit to the French capital in March, proving their love is stronger than ever.
- Any time his true personality is caught on camera.
We understand that Prince William is expected to be serious during the majority of his public events, but any time he breaks, there’s usually a photo to prove it — like this time a runner accidentally squirted water all over his face during the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon in April.
