Islamabad, April 6 (TNS): Rally of Kisaan Ithad coming from Lahore to Islamabad has been stopped by ICT Police at Faizabad Interchange.
The protesters have blocked roads at Faizabad Interchange, main artery of federal capital, caused the worst traffic jam.
Long queues of vehicles can be seen in areas including airport, Rawalpindi and Zero point.
Protesters blocked the roads to record their protest. They demanded subsidy in electricity bills and fertiliser prices.
They called for fixing rates for agricultural commodities and abolishing taxes on the agriculture sector.
They also sought time from the prime minister so that they could apprise him of their issues; however, no government representative reached the spot to negotiate with them.
