Protests erupt in IOK after Indian forces kill another innocent youth


SRINAGAR, Jan 10 (TNS): Situation in occupied Kashmir’s Southern part has taken an ugly turn when Indian force killed a youth when they fired bullets and pellets at protesting youth in Kulgam district on Tuesday.

Identified as Khalid Ahmad Dar (20), a resident of Khudwani in Kulgam district, was critically injured during clashes with the forces.

He was rushed to District Hospital Kulgam for treatment where he succumbed.

A health official at the facility said Dar had sustained bullet injury in his chest.

An eye witness said that youth took to streets in Khudwani area of Qaimoh after the news martyrdom of a local Mujahid in a gunfight with Indian forces in Larnoo spread in the area.

Two Mujahiddeen have been martyred in the ongoing gunfight with forces in a forest area in Larnoo Anantnag.

Occupation authorities have imposed curfew in the area to curb protests to spread.
