Srinagar July 10 (TNS): In occupied Kashmir, a prayer session was organized at Jinab Sahib in Srinagar to remember and pay tributes to the popular youth leader, Burhan Wani, and his associates martyred last year by Indian forces during a siege and search operation.
The prayers session was led by Hurriyet leader, Shabbir Ahmad Dar and attended by a large number of people including Hurriyat leaders, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Manzoor Ahmad, Sajad Ahmad and Hayat Dar.
Speaking on the occasion, Shabbir Ahmad Dar said, the martyrdom of the Burhan Wani and other youth added a new page in the history of resistance movement. He said these martyrs live in the heart of the Kashmiri people and will always be remembered with great respect.
He said these sacrifices have strengthened the resolve of the oppressed people and have brought all the resistance forces together to jointly fight against the Indian occupation. On the occasion, a peaceful pro-freedom rally was also organized and the participants raised high-pitched slogans in favour of freedom and against India. Courtesy TNS/KMS
