Islamabad Feb 26 (TNS): A trail court in Islamabad on Monday approved a supplementary reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau against former finance minister Ishaq Dar in the assets beyond the known source of income case.
The NAB has filed a corruption reference against Dar in the light of the Supreme Court verdict in the Panama Papers case.
The anti-graft body prosecutor Imran Shafiq along with the NAB investigation officer filed the supplementary reference to the registrar office, detailing names of 24 other witnesses and three new co-accused persons in the case accused of making illegal transactions worth $4.06 million.
The trial court has summoned the accused in the case for February 28.
Dar, who left the country after appearing in the trial court for two or three hearings and getting treatment in a hospital in London, said earlier that Pakistan was his country and he would soon return to the country as soon as his doctors gave him the go-ahead signal.
