Two women among 4 martyred as India violates ceasefire on WB


Rawalpindi, Sept 21 (TNS): At least four civilians, including two women, martyred by unprovoked firing of Indian forces along Working Boundary (WB) late Thursday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

“Indian BSF resorted to unprovoked firing of mortars, targeting civilian population along Working Boundary in village Bini Sulariyan in Charwa sector,” the military’s media wing said in a statement.

Pakistan Rangers Punjab, the ISPR added, befittingly responded on posts targeting civil population.

According to the Foreign Office, in 2017 to date, Indian forces have carried out more than 700 ceasefire violations along the LoC and the Working Boundary, resulting in the death of over 30 civilians and injuries to more than 100.
