Virat Kohli’s signed bat for Shahid Afridi Foundation


KARACHI, 02 August, (TNS): Virat Kohli, the Indian cricket legend, has donated his signed cricket bat to former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi for his foundation i.e. Shahid Afridi Foundation.

Afridi said that Kohli’s gesticulation serves as a great hope for humanity. “We must buoy up good things, irrespective of who is doing it,” said Afridi. “Kohli is a legend and he has at all times been very helpful and I am very grateful to him for his support,” he added.

Afridi said that Kohli’s bat will be auctioned for his Thar hospital project and the auction will take place in Newcastle, England. Kohli’s heartwarming gift to Afridi wins hearts on both sides of  the border. A signed jersey of Virat Kohli was also auctioned on Monday by the Shahid Afridi Foundation. According to reports, the winning bid for the jersey was 4,300 euros.

“People in Pakistan want to watch Kohli in Pakistan. I have played a lot in India and can never fail to recall the respect people gave me there,” Afridi continued. “We are not politicians and have nothing to do with politics, we are ambassadors and we must continue to give a good message,” he added
