Will not give up: Gulalai tells NA amid uproar in the House


Islamabad, August 7 (TNS): Ayesha Gulalai, who abandoned PTI leveling allegation on party chief, announced that she will not give up her National Assembly seat.

Amid uproar in the House, Gulalai said she doesn’t believe in personalities like Imran Khan as a leader should have moral character.

During her address, PTI lawmakers chanted slogans against Gulalai, but she continued her speech.

Giving a fiery address in National Assembly session, Gulalai rejected the trend of abusing opponents and slamming the senior leadership of the opposition party.

She further said that no one can save the nation from downfall when due respect is not given to the women in the society.

“Being a lawmaker and member of this esteemed House, it is my duty to protect the honour of women,” she said.

Gulalai went on to say that she know on which merit PTI women get selected.

She said no compromise should be made on respect and dignity of women.

Criticizing PTI’s ‘social media brigade, Ayesha Gulalai said this mafia abuses and threatens everybody who left the party.

She claimed that PTI goons are taking revenge from her family, including her old father and sister who has nothing to do with politics and is a sportswoman.

Talking about the threats, Gulalai said that a KP minister from PTI had threatened to demolish her sister’s welfare hospital.

Admired PPP’s Bilawal Bhutto and Jamaat-e-Islami’s support for her, she said that no threat can stop her to move forward.
