Sindh Govt constitutes committee to probe into violence incident of MQM-P rally

Karachi: Jan 27, 2022 (TNS): The Sindh government has constituted a committee to probe into the incident of torture against MQM-P rally in Karachi.

The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi today [Thursday].

Inspector General Police Sindh and Commissioner Karachi attended the meeting.

The Chief Minister expressed deep regret over the incident saying that maintaining peace of the city is the responsibility of the government.

Meanwhile, the Sindh Chief Minister has extended offer of talks to MQM Pakistan on local government law.

He extended this offer during a telephonic conversation with MQM Pakistan leader Ameenul Haq today.

Both the leaders were unanimous that political issues can be resolved through talks and agreed that repetition of such incidents in future will be avoided.

The Chief Minister also telephoned injured MQM MPA and inquired after his health.
