Lahore: Jan 28, 2022 (TNS): Punjab Governor Ch. Muhammad Sarwar said that government of PTI, in spite of financial constraints, is determined for the wellbeing of its youth.
He was addressing the seventeenth convocation of Islamia University Bahawalpur as chief guest on Friday.
He said that government has launched Ehsaas scholarship and Kamyab Jawan program to ensure the bright and brilliant future of needy and hardworking students across the country.
He further stated that in the current era, economic progress cannot be achieved without promoting knowledge- based economy and globalization.
Punjab Governor lauded the role and contribution of Islamia University, Bahawalpur, for the dissemination of knowledge and education among the students belongs to whole country.
Earlier, Vice Chancellor Islamia University Bahawalpur Engr. Prof Dr Ather Mahboob in his welcome address said that four billion rupees are being spent on the completion of different developmental and educational projects during the current financial year.

He informed that two more sub-campuses of the University have also been established at Ahmed Pur East and Liaqat Pur.

Radio Pakistan correspondent Sajjad Parvez reports that Punjab Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar also distributed degrees among sixty PhD and two hundred and sixty five MPhil holders.
