Islamabad: Feb 09, 2022 (TNS): Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin says government is fully committed to develop agriculture sector and provide incentives to the farmers.
He was speaking during a meeting in Islamabad today (Wednesday) with Member National Assembly Malik Muhammad Ehsan ullah Tiwana, Minister for National Food Security and Research Syed Fakhar Imam, President Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited and senior officials.
The Finance Minister suggested insurance of crops for sustainable support of the farmers.
Shaukat Tarin assured government’s full support to farmers and asked President Zarai Tarqiati Bank to provide relief to the drought hit farmers of Thal region by waiving-off part of loans as per policy.
