Forex reserves down

KARACHI JULY 28 (TNS): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) says that country’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves amounted to $20.4 billion on July 21, down $394 million or 1.9 per cent from a week ago,.

SBP reserves decreased from $476m to $15bn due to payments on account of external debt servicing and other official payments, a statement by the central bank said.

Net foreign exchange reserves held by commercial banks amounted to $5.4bn on July 21, slightly up from the preceding week.
