Islamabad: Mar 28, 2022 (TNS): Today (28.03.2022 ) on the directions of DG FIA Dr Sana Ullah Abbasi sb and Director KP Mujahid Akbar khan to crack down against illegal business of Hawala Hundi ,DD CBC Peshawar Afzal Khan Niazi constituted a special team to conduct raid in Peshawar and this team has arrested Accused namely Sohrab khan s/o Amir Gul cnic 1730139836697 recovered 96000 US Dollors* (equivalent to amounting Rs*17472000 one Crore seventy four lac senty two thousand * ) and RS 75000/.During compaign against illegal business of currency Smuggling its huge recovery in shape of US Dollors. No other FIA circle has recovered such a huge dollars in one raid.*it is worth mention that FIA cbc Peshawar has conducted 75 raids ;arrested 104 accused and recovered Amounting Rs193 millions(Pakistani and foreign currency) during last 03 months to curbe the menence of illegal business of currency Smuggling. This is highest Number of raids; recovery and arrest by any circle of Pakistan during last 3 month.
Accused was doing business of currency echange and parallel banking without any legal authority / license. He has committed crime by violating Foreign regulation Act 1947 .
Tomorrow he will be produced before court.
