Inspector General of Police Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan has said that police officers should take concrete steps by adopting effective strategies against criminal elements and make effective use of modern technology to improve service delivery as well as bind professional criminals. IG Punjab said that night patrolling should be increased to curb street crime and supervisory officers should be seen in the field. Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that special attention should be paid to the security of mosques and other places of worship during the month of Ramadan. IG Punjab said that strict action should be taken against the organized groups involved in the heinous drug smuggling and zero tolerance policy should be ensured against the land grabbing mafia. Rao Sardar Ali Khan said that the accused in cases of abuse and violence against women and children do not deserve any sympathy therefore Supervisory officers should punish the perpetrators of such crimes under strict supervision. IG Punjab emphasized that timely measures should be taken to control kite flying and aerial firing.
