Islamabad, July 29 (TNS): Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday said that without holding public office, he will continue to serve the nation and party workers.

Addressing the party meeting here, Nawaz Sharif claimed that his ineligibility was not decided by top court over corruption charges.

He said reason of his disqualification was shocking as he was sacked for not taking salary from his son’s company and he did not take a single penny from the public money.

“I was disqualified for not taking salary from my son’s company,” Nawaz said. “How can this be justified…why did I essential to tell the election commission about the salary when I didn’t take any money”?

Nawaz further said, “The nation now knows why I was declared disqualified. People should decide over whatever is happening around.”

Ex-Prime Minister said that PML-N will continue to work for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.

Nawaz Sharif has nominated Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as the prime minister for interim setup endorsed by the party members.

The meeting finalized the name of Shahbaz Sharif as prime minister after the interim setup.
