LAHORE: Jun 22, 2022 (TNS): A businessmen and investors delegation of the Federation of Saudi Chamber led by Fahed Al-Bash called on Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz Sharif and expressed keen interest in investment in different sectors including agriculture and livestock.
Kh. Ahmad Hassan, Abdul Aleem Khan, Tahayya Noor, Saira Iftikhar, Ali Raza, chief secretary, chairman P&D, LCCI president Nauman Kabir and high officials were also present.
Talking on this occasion, the CM said that a conducive investment atmosphere was provided in Punjab. It is time to transform long-standing brotherly relations into durable economic partnership, he added and pointed out that thousands of acres of arid land in Cholistan could be turned into a green oasis through technology. The expansion in economic partnership would also benefit the people of both the counties, he said. The CM assured to provide every possible facility to the Saudi investors and added that vast investment opportunities are available in different sectors in Punjab. Saudi Arabia was a trustworthy friend of Pakistan and it has fully supported the country in every hour of the trial. The people of Punjab would fully appreciate the Saudi cooperation, he added. Fahad Al-Bash showed interest in benefiting from investment opportunities available in agriculture, livestock and other sectors.
Provincial Minister Sardar Awais Leghari also spoke on this occasion.
CM HAMZA SHAHBAZ CHAIRS PROVINCIAL PARLIAMENTARY PARTY MEETING, PROVINCIAL MINISTERS, MPAs OF PML-N AND PPP ATTENDS: Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz Sharif presided over a provincial parliamentary party meeting at 90-SQA in which provincial ministers, MPAs of PML-N and PPP attended. CM while addressing the meeting underscored that full focus had been given to provide relief to the common man in the current budget. He said “People are having expectations from us and we have to come up to their expectations. Constitutional crises have been intentionally created in Punjab for three months”. Hamza Shahbaz stated that despite facing all hurdles, we provided Rs. 200 billion subsidy to the people of Punjab for the provision of subsidized flour. He said “If intentions are noble and direction is right then the help of Allah Almighty is also included. Difficulties do come and Allah Almighty creates ease in such difficulties. You are my team and my doors are always open for everyone. We will leave no stone unturned in alleviating the sufferings of the masses and will continue to work jointly in order to bring ease in the lives of the common man.” Strategy was also chalked out regarding the approval of the new financial year 2022-23 budget during the meeting. Provincial Home Minister Atta Ullah Tarar also addressed the meeting.
CM HAMZA SHAHBAZ EXPRESSES A DEEP SENSE OF SORROW OVER THE LOSS OF LIVES IN THE AFGHANISTAN QUAKE: Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz has expressed a deep sense of sorrow and grief over the loss of lives in an earthquake in Afghanistan and extended sympathies to the afghan brethren.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the CM expressed a deep sense of sorrow over the loss of lives and property and assured that the people and the government of Pakistan are standing with their brethren in Afghanistan. The CM also prayed for the early recovery of the injured adding that all the sympathies of the Punjab government are with the affected families.

CM in his condolence message expressed his heartfelt sympathy and grief with Senator Nuzhat Sadiq and the bereaved family. CM prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the grieved family to bear the irreparable loss.
