ISLAMABAD Aug 3 (TNS): PML-N leader Amir Muqam on Thursday rejected the perception about him that he was behind Ayesha Gulalai’s contemptuous allegations against the PTI chairman Imran Khan.

Talking to newsmen here, Muqam said he just telephoned Gulalai after her claims appeared in the media, and spoke hardly for a minute or so. He clarified that he never tried to convince Gulali to do so.

Muqam said: “Why would I require someone to speak against Imran and his government? His character and government’s performance is not a secret for anyone.”

“I can topple the PTI’s provincial government in KPK if I wish, but it is not needed because this party is already facing internal conflicts and may get disintegrated soon,” he added.

“Even the PTI’s own workers and MNAs are complaining about corruption. I am not saying it,” he said.
