Islamabad ( ) 53rd meeting of the Quality Control Board, Islamabad was held today under the chairmanship of Mr. Kamran Rehman Khan, Addl Secy, MoNHSR&C. The meeting was attended by the Dy Secretray, MoNHSR, DHO, Islmabad, Addl Director DRAP and concerned Drug Inspectors.
Secretary, Quality Control Board Sardar Shabbir Ahmed presented 30 cases of violation of Drugs Act, 1976 and DRAP Act, 2012 for discussion and decision of the Baord. After personal hearing of all nominated accused, the Board approved prosection in 23 cases whereas warnings were issued in cases. The concerned Drug Inspectors were directed to submit complaints in Drug Court.
The Secretary Board also presented implementation status of the decisions of the previous meeting. The Baord was apprised that all decisions taken during last meeting have been implemented.
Performance report of the Drug Inspectors for the Ist quarter of 2023 was also presented by the Secy QCB. The Board shown satisfaction over the report.
The Secretary QCB was also directed to put up a summary for required amendments in the Drugs Act, 1976 and ICT Drug Rules, 2013 within a week time for further process.
