Khanewal(saqib khattar)Under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to resolve the problems of the people in rural areas at their doorstep, Multan Regional Police Officer (RPO), Captain (R) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry, along with Multan Commissioner Maryam Khan, held an open court at Jamia Masjid, Chak 4 AH Makhdumpur. The event was attended by a large number of citizens, including DPO Ismail Kharrak, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali Bukhari, DSP Abdul Kareem, Assistant Commissioner Sunbal Javed, and other government officials.
Speaking at the open court, RPO Multan Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry said that, under the public-friendly mission of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, open courts are being held in police offices, police stations, and mosques to resolve people’s issues at their doorstep. He emphasized that by reducing the gap between the public and the police, and ensuring justice is served, all available resources are being utilized for the immediate resolution of public grievances.
The RPO further stated that delivering justice at the citizens’ doorstep is a top priority, and today’s open court at the mosque is a continuation of this effort. He added that it is the duty of the police to provide justice, dignity, and serve humanity, but the public must play their role as the eyes and ears of the police, and join hands with law enforcement to make society peaceful and free of crime.
Multan Commissioner Maryam Khan said that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has issued orders to provide relief to the public at their doorstep. During the open court, both the RPO and the Commissioner listened to citizens’ complaints and immediately directed the concerned officers to ensure justice is provided on merit. At the event, RPO Multan Captain (R) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry also commended DPO Ismail Kharrak for his excellent performance.
