Islamabad, August 6 (TNS): Imran Khan, chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, on Sunday termed former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s GT Road travel as a bid to sabotage the judiciary system in the country.

Expressing his concerns over the GT Road plan, Imran Khan in a statement, said that PML-N strategy is a deliberate endeavor to undermine the Supreme Court which ruled Nawaz Sharif disqualified.

“PML-N goons are attempting to destroy the judicial system”, Khan went on to say.

PTI chief further said that Panama Case ruling was a unanimous verdict given by five judges of the top court after a detailed probe.

‘By challenging the SC Sharif was attempting to destroy the judicial system of the country. Having become redundant politically after his disqualification, and knowing he can now never become PM, Sharif is prepared to destroy the whole democratic system,’ PTI chief said.

The PTI chairman also claimed that Sharif’s additional purpose to travel on the GT Road was to pressurize theNational Accountability Bureau which is set to investigate corruption, money laundering, tax evasion, assets’ concealment and forgery charges against Sharif family.

‘There are criminal cases and Sharif is seeking to build up pressure against NAB and the accountability court,’ Khan concluded.
